3x1 is a New York City based luxury jeans brand, started in 2011.  3x1 operates an atelier, an Ecommerce business, in addition to a wholesale collection, which sells to some 200+ stores around the world.  3x1’s collections reflect our uncompromising commitment to making the finest jeans in the world.  Each pair designed in Soho, NYC and proudly made in the USA.

Position Overview:

Responsible for merchandising, driving revenue and building brand awareness for 3x1 that reflects the true spirit of the brand. This role will be responsible for the implementation and launch of all ecommerce strategies within 3x1 in order to enhance the customer experience, drive business, optimize marketing channels and build brand equity. The role will interface with cross functional teams that represent Wholesale, Retail, Operations, as well as Marketing and Communications. This role will also be responsible for the website and all technologies supporting the website; including platform support and development, and site analytics. The position reports to the President and has 1 direct report and stock support.

Job Requirements

Key Objectives

  • Grow the eCommerce business with a set vision, strategy and plan, with clear KPIs & levers to measure success
  • Oversee the merchandising and buying process, representing the brand marketing, digital consumer, and ecommerce efforts
  • Serve as a leader in the business and continually improve consumer engagement and conversion across all channels, optimizing the consumer experience and increasing repeat purchases
  • Lead and motivate the eCommerce team, providing vision, leadership, direction and guidance.
  • Maintain positive open lines of communication with leadership and other key contacts across many internal departments/functions in order to build cross functional relationships
  • Adopt a strategic view of the digital commerce landscape, keeping abreast of current industry best practices, tools, and trends, and understanding the competitive environment.

Job Functions & Key Responsibilities

  • Develop methods to drive and measure consumer engagement, enhance the customer experience across all channels, increase conversion, and customer loyalty
  • Manage open-to-buy, forecast projections by style for seasonal collection purchases, manage replenishment of trending styles, and address poor sellers.
  • Compile and analyze weekly and monthly reporting results and formulate a strategy based on findings.
  • Oversee the timeline for product launches, and manage all aspects of selling campaign strategies, including analysis to better understand successes and learnings for future strategy
  • Develop CRM strategies to determine what information is needed to drive business decisions and results, monitor performance, and harness customer information
  • Partner cross-functionally with creative teams to augment marketing and social media efforts to drive customer engagement.
  • Work directly with third-party firm to manage SEO, SEM, affiliate, display, retargeting, prospecting, including analysis and testing
  • Manage eCommerce team and ensure all objectives are clearly outlined and the team is set up for success; prioritize urgent projects;  and manage work load of department accordingly

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Business or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in ecommerce and digital marketing with a proven track record of success in an omnichannel environment in the apparel industry, preferably in denim.
  • Experience with managing and working cross-functionally with other departments and third- party vendors/agencies
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strategic out-of-the-box thinking capabilities and the ability to work independently with very strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to drive alignment on strategy, as well as sharing insights with the senior leadership team
  • Working knowledge of Shopify Plus, as well as comfortable with web analytics and can turn data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of web development and spearheading improvements and enhancements across the site
  • Passionate about exceeding corporate goals and driving business through excellent execution
