Job Requirements

Job Summary:

As a Merchandise Coordinator/Selling Specialist  you will work with jewelry brand at several department stores in Garden City/Huntington LI area. Two visits per week is required for both Merchandising and Selling Support. Selling support should occur during peak hours.  Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: merchandising product, assisting customers & selling, educating and training store personnel & customers on the brand, cultivating relationships within the store, and demonstrating the product.

  

Experience Requirements:

 

  • 3+ years retail experience, vertical store, wholesale or branded apparel experience
  • Experience in training and presenting to small/medium sized groups on the selling floor
  • Experience in relationship building with store management at various levels
  • Previous work as a merchandise coordinator at an accessory, apparel or footwear company
  • Manager level at department store, vertical retailers or specialty store experience

Required Skills:

 

  • Ability to conduct training and educational seminars with store personnel & customers at high end retailers
  • Ability to sell and present to customers
  • Superior visual merchandising expertise
  • Passion for high end, luxury jewelry a plus!
  • Communicates timely and effectively (both verbal and written)
  • Strong execution and implementation of merchandising and/or creative planograms/directives
  • Proficient in capturing crisp, clear mirror image photography (before and after photos showcasing completed work)
  • Client liaison with all store personnel – strong relationships at the door level a must!
